Bill Murray Featured On Kelce Brothers' "New Heights" Podcast

The Man, The Myth, The Murray let it rip last week on the "New Heights" podcast—hosted by current Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce.

Bill Murray hit the links at Whoopee Match Club in Vidalia, Georgia with Jason—which led to the two sitting down for the in-person chat, while Travis looped in via video and the spirited conversation got underway.

The Kelce brothers welcome Bill at the 44:20 mark and hilarity ensues over the next hour; everything on the table—from their shared love of golf, to growing up Murray, to Bill starting his career doing improv—to his Saturday Night Live days, the show's best host of all time, the making of Caddyshack, the trolling of fellow Chicagoian and former Bulls' star Michael Jordan, as well as prank-calling an old friend—the latter clip going viral after this episode dropped.

While those who've followed William Murray Golf over the years know the Murray brothers backstory—growing up caddying in Wilmette, Illinois as a way to earn their keep—which the six brothers rolled into their Caddie Hall of Fame induction back in 2015, the Kelce bros and their audience were new to the topic and Bill was glad to indulge on the topic.

When specifically asked about the greatest game itself, Murray got serious for a moment and reverently described what makes golf such a lifelong passion.

"It's a game of self-report—where your honesty is a key thing," Murray began to explain. "You can cheat on your income taxes, you can cheat on your spouse—your lover—but you cheat at golf, we're done ... I got nothing to say to you."

The code that defines the game's integrity; that really proved to be the hook for Murray—"a body-of-tension, self-awareness kind of game"— that he admittedly couldn't compare to football, but the current and former NFL'ers seemed to absolutely get the point.

Check out the full episode here and dig into the "New Heights" archives for some other gems from Travis and Jason ... and for those asking, Bill is rocking his gray go-to, good-luck Chip-Shot Pullover in the clip!
