ORLANDO, FL — Over 33,000 industry professionals from 94 countries and all 50 states traveled to Orlando for last week’s 2025 PGA Show. This annual conference began in the trunks of cars during a 1954 golf tournament and has grown into golf’s longest-running and largest global business gathering.
“The show was great for our brand,” said Brandon Barrett, CEO of William Murray Golf, a leading apparel company that boasts ‘where golf meets irreverence and fun inspires style.’ “Our team booked a lot of pre-orders and introduced our latest line to many PGA professionals and industry leaders.”
THE 2025 PGA SHOW: RECORD ATTENDANCE
William Murray was only one of more than 1,100 participating exhibitors on-site to drive business in 2025. With the continued growth of the recreational game, the 2025 PGA Show reached its largest size since 2009, pointing to a hopeful outlook for the $102 billion golf industry in the year ahead.
Held for the 39th year in 1.1 million square feet of the Orange County Convention Center, the 2025 PGA Show expanded in multiple categories – by number of attendees, number of exhibitors, net booth space, and total event space, making it the largest Show since Barack Obama began his first term in the White House.
“We had a feeling that this event was going to be special, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response from attending golf industry professionals and exhibiting brands – many who called it the ‘best show ever’,” said PGA Golf Exhibitions Vice President Marc Simon. “The largest PGA Show in 15 years, combined with strong industry attendance, is a tremendous start to the new year for the golf industry. Our global golf community relishes the opportunity to connect in person, and we leave the PGA Show with renewed friendships, new business opportunities, and a recharged outlook moving into 2025.”
The game’s most recognizable brands and manufacturers, along with nearly 400 exhibitors new to the PGA Show, create a marketplace to showcase the latest innovations that will enhance the golf experience for players while driving the sport’s business.
“Every year, the PGA Show leaves us energized and inspired, setting a positive tone for the new golf season,” said PGA of America President Don Rea Jr., PGA Master Professional and Owner/Operator of Augusta Ranch Golf Club (Arizona). “With more than 33,000 in attendance, including over 6,000 PGA of America Golf Professionals, this is our ‘Member’s Major.’
The 2025 PGA Show was organized by the PGA of America and PGA Golf Exhibitions. Rea said the event offered a wealth of business opportunities, but equally important were the mentoring, networking, and career development opportunities.
“I love seeing our younger professionals at their first PGA Show walking side-by-side with their seasoned mentors. The true essence of this week are the relationships and collaboration within our industry to advance the game of golf and leave it better than we found it.”
DAVID MCLAY KIDD TO DESIGN 4TH COURSE AT STREAMSONG
One of the major announcements at the 2025 PGA Show was the unveiling of plans for a new 18-hole golf course at Streamsong Resort, designed by the renowned architect David McLay Kidd. This course will be the resort’s fourth full-size course and is projected to open within the next couple of years. The resort is already home to three highly acclaimed courses: Streamsong Blue, designed by Tom Doak; Streamsong Red, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw; and Streamsong Black, designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner.
The new course, which has yet to be named, is anticipated to be a significant addition. It will feature diverse terrain, including large dunes, water elements, and elevation changes. It will be located just southwest of the Red course, adjacent to the existing Black course. Kidd has expressed his enthusiasm about finally being able to design a course at Streamsong, noting that it feels like a culmination of his career.
Adding Kidd’s course will make Streamsong the only golf resort in the world to feature courses designed by Coore/Crenshaw, Doak, Hanse/Wagner, and Kidd. This diversity of architectural styles will provide golfers with a wide range of playing experiences in one location.
